Indications and Usage
Nystatin topical preparations are indicated in the treatment of cutaneous or mucocutaneous mycotic infections caused by Candida albicans and other susceptible Candida species.These preparations are not indicated for systemic, oral, intravaginal or ophthalmic use.
Infection -- Invasion of the host organism by microorganisms that can cause pathological conditions or diseases.

Contraindications
Nystatin topical preparations are contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of their components.
Hypersensitivity -- Altered reactivity to an antigen, which can result in pathologic reactions upon subsequent exposure to that particular antigen.
